In Springtime every year, we proclaim that “We are an Easter people.” What difference does this make to us?
So much time is invested in the Lenten season that we generally overlook the 50 days that follow… 50 days that call us to believe that the ‘stones’ that repress and imprison us can actually be rolled away, that the power of potential and giftedness for new life can break through.
In a day of input, discussion, and prayer, we will be invited to reflect on how the radical Easter message of death and new life speaks to our lives and the life of the church – especially in its relationship with women…. It’s a time to ‘arise, shine; for your light is come.’
