We will use the beauty and energy of nature in this season of Autumn to assist us on our retreat as we open up the spiritual within.

This retreat will include short inputs from Michael on how to use the spaces at Ballyvaloo to support Inner Silence and the Practice of Gratitude for our lives.

Bring a pair of boots and a rain coat.

This silent retreat, (three nights), will include short, guided, mindful, input around autumn as a metaphor for life, giving thanks for our lives to date, exploring and celebrating wisdom, noticing change, seeing new beginnings in the present moment, practising letting go. We will immerse ourselves with ease, in nature, and build a connection with it. These days are for people of all beliefs and none. They are also designed to offer you a space, in silence, to let go, rest, reflect on your life at this moment in time and recharge. As you do so, we invite you to experience what Ballyvaloo has to offer, with beautiful grounds for walking, especially 11km of sandy beach, wholesome food, a comfortable ensuite bedroom room for rest and some calming spaces, to sit in peace. You will have plenty of time for your own space and if you do not wish to attend sessions, that is ok too. We do not provide mass during the retreat but you will have access to our beautiful prayer room with the blessed sacrament present if you wish to avail of it.

Michael Dillon, is the Director at Ballyvaloo, he is a psychotherapist by training with specialist training in Trauma work and is a certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist. In the past he has worked with the MEND programme (Domestic Violence Intervention Programme in the South East) for over 10 years, as a therapist with the HSE in Counselling in Primary Care (CIPC) ,the Self Harm Intervention Programme (SHIP) and in counselling management.

He has a life long interest in spirituality and has a degree in theology.
